CHANTILLY, VIRGINIA — More than 200 library lovers and dancing queens joined forces on a balmy autumn night on the lawn of the Chantilly Regional Library to show their support for the Fairfax County Public Library.
Fairfax Library Foundation held the third installment of its popular “Cinema in the Community” events on Saturday, with proceeds, as always, benefitting FCPL. Food trucks from Pakos Fresh Mex and Kona Ice were on hand before the main event: an outdoor screening of the sing-along edition of the 2008 musical romantic comedy, “Mamma Mia!”
The outdoor screen was provided by Capital City Entertainment, with tickets to the film free to the general public with a suggested donation of $7 per person.
Future Cinema in the Community events are planned throughout the year. Subscribe to our newsletter at the bottom this page, or follow Fairfax Library Foundation on social media for updates on upcoming films.
A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available for Cinema in the Community events. If you are interested in sponsoring a future event, please contact our Director of Development, Cheryl Ann Lee at 703-324-8300 or events@fairfaxlibraryfoundation.org.
