CELEBRATE WITH FAIRFAX LIBRARY FOUNDATION AS IT MARKS ITS 30TH ANNIVERSARY!

For three decades, Fairfax Library Foundation has dedicated itself to raising crucial funds to make our outstanding Fairfax County Public Library even better. With your support we have provided more than 250,000 picture books and tens of thousands of hours of storytimes for local children, funded innovative library programs like our highly-acclaimed Children’s Summer Reading Festivals, expanded library resources, and broadened the reach of the library to residents in every corner of Fairfax County!

We’re commemorating this milestone with  A Celebration of Library Joy—Fairfax Library Foundation’s 30th Anniversary Celebration,” on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 5:30 to 8:00 pm at Burke Centre Library. And who better to help us celebrate than the leading practitioner of Library Joy himself, social media sensation Mychal Threets. Famous for his enthusiastic book recommendations, personal library anecdotes, and affirming messages, Mychal has amassed more than two million followers across social media.

The event will bring together community leaders, library friends groups, volunteers, and all-around library lovers.  Reserve tickets are $125 and includes hors d’oeuvres, wine and beer, and entertainment. Click here for more info and to purchase tickets. All proceeds from this event will support the programs and services of Fairfax County Public Library. Festive attire recommended.
