Richard J. Frisch
Richard
J. Frisch, Chief Operating Officer of the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce, serves
as interim CEO of the Chamber, an 800 member organization of businesses,
non-profit groups and government agencies that was founded in 1925. Widely
regarded as Northern Virginia's premier business organization, the Fairfax
County Chamber is known as The Voice of Business in Northern VirginiaTM.
Frisch joined the Fairfax County Chamber in October of 2008, as the Chief Operating Officer. Before joining the Chamber, Frisch spent 30 years working in the Hospitality Industry. For the past 25 years he worked for Hilton Hotels Corporation, including 8 years as Manager of Hotel Operations at the Hilton Washington, before assuming the General Manager role at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner from 1998 through 2008. Other Hilton assignments included New Orleans, Miami and Pittsburgh.
Prior to Hilton, Frisch spent 5 years in various positions in the Restaurant Industry and he has served 6 years in the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller.
He has served on various area boards and committees including the Landowner Economic Alliance for the Dulles Rail, the Fairfax County Convention and Visitors Corporation and the Executive Committee for the International Children's Festival.
